Facing the retirement of skilled workers, over 80% of traditional industries are turning to Ace Pillar for assistance in implementing automated welding robots to enhance production efficiency and maintain high-quality welding results. After understanding the customer's needs, we opted for a six-axis robot and added a seventh axis to handle larger welding objects.
However, the welding process involves hidden intricacies and challenges. We need to pay attention to arm movement speed control, adjustment of welding machine parameters, and meeting high precision standards. Welding is a three-dimensional positioning problem, where incorrect positioning or depth can result in poor welds or surface damage.
To address these challenges, Ace Pillar not only coordinated the last-minute modification of the six-axis robot to a seven-axis configuration but also provided on-site assistance for precise positioning. The project utilized three state-of-the-art technologies:
RobotStudio® simulation for path planning, digital welding for precise control of welding parameters, and BullsEye design for accurate positioning.
